Electric Motion has confirmed that their special FACTOR-e Pilot Edition is using the siliXcon SL controller. This is siliXcon's largest, most powerful, controller as of July 2025.
Using the SL on a trials bike may seem like total overkill to the average enthusiast, but not if you are competing at the world level. It's likely EM's factory bikes were using the SL controller back in 2024.
Although I have not inquired about price, I expect an SL controller will cost roughly double that of an SX.

Like siliXcon's SC and SX controllers, the SL operates at a switching frequency of 20 kHz. Some important differences are noted below:
The SL has a 10-second peak power rating of 36 kW. This is twice the capability of the SX.
The SL allows a peak (amplitude) phase current of 500 amps, also for 10 seconds. This same specification for the SX controller ranges from 366 A to 382 A (depending on the specific variant).
The SL measures 96 mm x 147.7 mm x 63.85 mm and weighs 1200 g, making it somewhat larger and considerably heavier than the SX controller.
The signal connector is different. The SL controller uses an AMPSEAL with 35 pins, shown below. Whereas the SX uses an AMP Superseal 1.0 signal connector with 34 pins.
